Funko Pop value checker

Funko Pop scanner: see what yours actually sold for.

Photograph the figure and Funko Scanner identifies it, then matches it against real completed sales — the exact character, the exact number, and whether yours is the chase, the exclusive, or the common one. Asking prices tell you what a seller hopes to get. Sold prices tell you what it is worth.

A Funko Pop identified in the app, tagged rare, with its estimated price

The problem

A Pop's name is not enough to price it

Two figures of the same character can differ in value by a factor of fifty. The box number, the convention sticker, the chase variant, and whether the piece is graded all move the price far more than the character does. Searching the name alone returns a range so wide it is useless.

Identify the exact figure

The camera reads the figure and box, and the app narrows it to a specific Pop and number rather than a character with fifty releases.

Match on sold, not asking

Results are matched against real listings for that version, so the estimate reflects what the market pays rather than optimistic listings that never sell.

Grades handled separately

A slabbed AFA 85 and a loose figure are different market items. Graded scans are matched to graded comps instead of being averaged together.

Keep the collection in one place

Save each scan into named collections, so the shelf becomes a list with prices attached instead of a memory exercise.

How it works

Four steps, about thirty seconds

  1. Photograph the PopFront of the box, or the loose figure. Good light, whole figure in frame.
  2. Confirm the matchThe app returns the most likely figure with its number, series and year. You check it against the box.
  3. Read the price contextComparable listings for that version, with prices and condition, so you see the spread instead of one number.
  4. Save it to a collectionAnything you keep stays in the app and refreshes its price context over time.

Questions

Funko Pop values, answered

How can I find out how much my Funko Pop is worth?

Identify the exact figure first — character, box number, series and variant — and only then look at prices. The reliable source is completed marketplace sales for that specific version, because those are prices people paid rather than prices sellers asked. Funko Scanner does both steps from a photo: it identifies the figure, then shows comparable sales.

Is there an app that scans Funko Pops to check the price?

Yes. Funko Scanner is a free iPhone and Android app that identifies a Pop from a photo of the figure or box and returns comparable marketplace listings for that version, along with a price range. There is no serial number to type in and no barcode required, which matters for loose figures whose boxes are long gone.

How do I know if my Funko Pop is rare?

Rarity comes from the release, not the character. Check for a chase sticker, a convention or retailer exclusive sticker, a vaulted release that is no longer in production, or a low production run such as a prototype or a signed piece. A standard release of a popular character is usually worth less than an obscure character with a limited run.

Are Funko Pop price guides accurate?

They are a starting point. Fixed guides lag the market and often quote a single number for a figure that trades across a wide range depending on box condition, variant and whether the sale was an auction or a best offer. Recent completed sales for the same variant are more accurate than any published guide figure.

Does the box matter for a Funko Pop's value?

Substantially, for anything above common value. A sharp box with clean corners and an uncrushed window sells for meaningfully more than a creased one, and a loose figure without its box sells for less again. For the expensive end of the market the box condition is often the difference between two prices with different numbers of digits.
